My little Aggies

I finally got to the photo studio today to get pictures with all 3 kids. We tried a new place called Portrait Innovations. I like the place, spent a little less than Picture People and a little more than Sears, but I have the pictures in hand today and got quite a few good ones. This was no small feat. It is extremely difficult to get Garrett to look at the camera and smile. Karys can smile bigger than the sun, but she wouldn't look at the camera either - all the other props in the room were much more interesting to look at. And then there was Hudson, it is easy to get him to smile, but not when his brother is (barely) holding him and I'm acting like a lunatic trying to get everyone to look at me and smile. They took about 100 shots (no kidding) and I narrowed it down to about 10. Here are a few of my favorites. BTW, I guess this will count for Hudson's 6 month shots since he will be that on Monday.

Garrett's 1st Grade Texas Round-up

Garrett & his fellow 1st graders square danced and sang Texas songs today during their school program. This is the only program of the year for 1st graders. They all did a great job! I'm trying to get a movie clip of the kids singing to upload. Stay tuned...

Garrett told me his 'deepest & darkest secret' the other day; he has a girlfriend! The little girl who sits next to him at school - Kelly - is his 'love'. She is next to him in the picture (G is wearing the coat on the far left.) He wants to write her a love letter. He's not sure what it will say, but it will have a lot of hearts in it.

Karys 1st Soccer Game

I'm so excited that my kids are finally playing on soccer teams and I'm helping coach!

Karys had her 1st game this past weekend with her team, The Gnats. Their coed team plays 3 on 3 while 2 coaches from each team stay on the field with them to be the referees, coaches, cheerleaders, nose & tear wipers, etc.

Karys had fun, but got upset when someone got the ball from her or she missed kicking the ball in the goal. They were all so cute. They followed the ball around in little bunches (like gnats,) and occasionally, a kid (sometime mine) would break out of the group with the ball. They would kick the ball toward the correct goal (most of the time) and then run right past it and kick the ball out of bounds.

After scoring, I told Karys to do a happy dance. That is what she is doing in the picture. She calls it her 'silly score dance'. Both teams scored a lot, so much that we couldn't keep count. All in all, it was fun and we're looking forward the next game which isn't for a few more weeks.
